Prof. John Kojiro Moriwaka is Co-Founder & CEO of #StartupFire.

Based in Silicon Valley, USA, John founded #StatupFire and serves as CEO. With the title of the youngest professor in Japan, he teaches entrepreneurship & innovation at Yamaguchi University, and published a book about ‘leadership & innovation’. He has often been invited to leading universities, hospitals and organizations within Japan and abroad, not just as a promoter of innovation but as a charismatic motivational speaker. He is a mentor of Alchemist Accelerator, and an angel investor of HBS Angels Alumni Association, and Life Science Angels.

John writes poems, raps, and paints to express his feelings, and achieve his vision to save the world. He published his book about leadership and innovation in Japan in 2016, profits were used for donation for Kumamoto Earthquake. John as Philo writes poems. He released the hiphop song ‘Down Wiz Us’ as Gifted feat. Dirty R.A.Y on Amazon three times in Japan in 2017. John also paints abstract as Mutant, exhibited in Ginza, Tokyo in 2018.

Mr. Andrew Janssen is Co-Founder & CTO of #StartupFire.

Andrew is an engineer, manager, and strategic advisor.

Andrew draws from 17 years of diverse professional experience, working with every kind of organization— from non-profits and startups to small and medium businesses, to Fortune 100s. An accomplished engineer, self-taught from age 11, his employers, clients, and partners include: Motorola, Electronic Arts, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the United States Army, Disney, Facebook, and Google. Andrew draws on this diverse experience to make the most strategic decisions.

Andrew is passionate to bring Facebook and Google’s engineering culture of rapid experimentation, instant feedback, and high quality to your company. Powerful leadership is a rare commodity, and Andrew works to develop it in other teams. As an ex-Google engineering manager, Andrew knows how to create strong culture. Strong culture creates productive, happy teams!

Andrew graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in computer science, and has a certificate in cybersecurity policy from HarvardX. Originally from Chicago but often in Silicon Valley and overseas, Andrew is fluent in English and French.

Dr. Masaki Nagahara is  AI Specialist of #StartupFire. 

Masaaki  is AI specialist, and currently a full professor at the University of Kitakyushu. He is also a visiting professor at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay since 2017.  His research interests include artificial intelligence and
automatic control. He is an author of 3 published books,
“Control of Multi-Agent Systems,” “Sparse Modeling,” and
“Control Engineering Learned with Inverted Pendulums.”

Masaaki  received an international award, Transition to Practice Award, from IEEE Control Systems Society in 2012, which he is a first Japanese to win.
He also received Young Authors Award in 1999 and Best Paper Award in 2012 from SICE,  Best Tutorial Paper Award from IEICE Communications Society in 2014, and Best Book Authors Award from SICE in 2016. He is a senior member of IEEE.
